- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪terrible horrible awful for clarification - this review is for "services received" from William Carlson MD at Open Door Community health centers at 1644 Central ave in June 2016 (I can't quite tell if he is still associated with this practice or if it has moved etc.) Short story: I went here, told them exactly what I had (which was a urinary tract infection that had spread to my kidney), they did a urine test and then he came in and said basically "nope – you’re just fine", suggested that maybe I had a cold and said to come back on Monday if I was still feeling bad. By Friday night, the pain I was experiencing was unbearable and by Saturday morning I was at the ER. ER ran tests and confirmed that I had an infection in my Kidney. The ER visit was upwards of 2,000 dollars and I’m spending hours trying to get insurance to cover it and am now in mediation. I could add more which makes this place look even more negligent and creepy even, but I'm already wasting enough time and energy.July 26, 2017by bethany koch
